climbing adventures

This past week we had the opportunity to climb Mt. Kinabalu, the highest mountain in SE Asia. It was a two-day climb, a total of 9 kilometers if you make it all the way to the summit. It was steep! A tough adventure, to say the least. But it was beautiful!

Brrrr! It was COLD!

  1. Things I thought while reading Ellen's blog:

Whoa, lots more intense than that dinky Tanzanian mountain.

That trail picture looks like it's from a movie.

If Ellen thinks 45 degrees is cold now, she's going to have a rough return to Midwest winter. Wait, Ellen's always cold...

    Congratulations on the climb!!!

  2. Very exciting Ellen! Congratulations on achieving the task of climbing Mt Kinabalu! Love the pictures! I agree with Kate, that one of the trail, does look like a snapshot from a movie - a bit of a scarey one!

  4. I have been beaten to it but I also have to say that trail looks amazing and completely from a storybook. Really great.
